Urgent police appeal over missing man last seen in Manchester city centre
Police have issued an urgent appeal for the public's help to find a missing man.
Named by police only as 'Billy', he was reported as missing on Saturday and was last seen in and around Manchester city centre.
GMP referenced a time - 9.30am - and the location of Oxford Road.
A CCTV image has been issued with the appeal being shared by the force on its social media channels.
Writing on social media, police in the city centre said on Sunday: "Can you help us find Billy who was last seen in and around the city centre yesterday?
"We are becoming concerned for his safety and just want to make sure is he safe and well. Any details please contact us on 101 direct quoting incident 2336 of 01/02/2025."
He's described as a 21 year-old man, white, around 6ft tall and of slim build. The appeal says he has long black hair and is clean shaven wearing glasses.
Billy was last seen wearing a brown cap, a white T-shirt and a pink jacket with blue baggy jeans.
Police said he was also 'potentially' carrying a brown guitar case, a black ruck sack and a grey backpack. No further details have been revealed.
