Urgent CCTV appeal after terrifying knifepoint robbery by thugs at tram stop

An urgent CCTV appeal has been issued by police after a terrifying knifepoint robbery by thugs at a tram stop near Cheetham Hill.

Officers were called to reports of the robbery at Queen's Road Metrolink Stop at around 3.40pm on Monday (June 8). It was reported that three victims were approached by two men and 'forced to hand over various items at knifepoint'.

An investigation was launched by Greater Manchester Police, who have since released images of two men they want to identify, who they believe could assist with the enquires.

No injuries were reported in the robbery. Anyone with information is being urged to contact the force immediately amid ongoing investigations.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "At around 3.40pm, three young males were followed by two males and forced to hand over various items at knifepoint.

"The trio thankfully weren't hurt during the incident and officers are now hoping to locate those responsible. Officers are hoping to identify the two people in the image above, as it is believed the pair could help with their enquiries."
