Urgent appeal to find two men who could be 'anywhere in the UK'

Police in Leeds have issued a nationwide appeal for information to help identify and locate two men who could be ‘anywhere in the UK’.

West Yorkshire Police said they want to speak to the two men in relation to an ongoing safeguarding issue. Detectives from the city's District Safeguarding Unit said they have "immediate concerns" in relation to the two men.

Extensive enquiries to identify them have so far been unsuccessful and have now made a public appeal by sharing images of the two men. They said the images were recovered by officers from ‘online activity’ of the two men.

One of the men has a distinctive tattoo on his hand which could help with identifying him. An earlier appeal in relation to the investigation led to the identification and arrest of a third man.

In a statement, a spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: “Police in Leeds are continuing to appeal for information on two men they urgently need to identify in relation to an ongoing safeguarding investigation.

“Detectives from Leeds District Safeguarding Unit have immediate concerns in relation to these suspects and are appealing for information from the public to help identify the men whose images have been recovered from online activity. Subject 8 has a distinctive tattoo on his hand.

“Extensive enquiries have so far been unable to identify the suspects, who could be anywhere in the UK. We are therefore asking for the images to be shared as widely as possible.

“A man who featured in a previous version of this appeal on June 30 has now been identified and arrested.
