Urgent appeal to find girl, 13, missing 'without phone or funds'

Officers have issued an urgent appeal to find a missing teenage girl who is believed to be without a phone or any funds. Greater Manchester Police says Esme, from Stockport, was last seen yesterday morning (May 2).

The 13-year-old was seen at around 11am on Albert Street, in Hazel Grove. At the time, Esme was seen wearing a grey zip-up hoody, blue jeans and white trainers.

She is described as being 5ft 4ins tall, of medium build and with bright red, shoulder-length hair. Police have issued a photo of Esme on social media this evening (Wednesday) along with an appeal for help finding her.

Esme's surname has not been given by GMP. Anyone with information about her disappearance is being urged to contact the force as soon as possible.

A spokesperson for GMP Stockport added: "Officers are being increasingly concerned for Esme as she is not believed to be in possession of a mobile phone or any way to access funds, and just want to make sure she is safe and well.

"Anyone with any information regarding the whereabouts of Esme is asked to contact police on 0161 856 9721."
