Urgent appeal for help to find missing teenager who didn't turn up for work

The family of a missing Oldham teenager has launched a desperate appeal for help to find him. Dillon Duffy's mum Donna she is 'worried sick' after her son went missing yesterday (Tuesday, June 18).

She said she dropped him off close to the Asda supermarket on Milne Street at around 8am. Donna said he was supposed to go to work from there, but never showed up.

The 18-year-old's phone 'pinged' at Manchester Piccadilly station at around 3.25pm yesterday afternoon, Donna said, but his phone has been off since.

Donna said he may have travelled to London Euston, with his dad heading down south to try and find him.

Speaking to the Manchester Evening News, the mum said she was going through every 'parent's worst nightmare' as she urged her son to 'please get in touch'. Donna added: "I dropped him off at Asda in Chadderton and he was supposed to go to work for 8am, which was over the road.

"But he's not turned up for work. That's the last I saw of him.

"I think the police have said this his phone was pinged at Manchester Piccadilly at 3.25pm and that's it... we've not seen anything else since. His phone has been off since then."

Dillon could possibly be wearing a dark-grey hooded North Face jacket and grey cargos with black trainers. He may also be carrying a black backpack.

Dillon's disappearance has been reported to Greater Manchester Police, a spokesperson for the force confirmed. Any information can be reported to officers on 101; by using GMP's live chat here; or by 999 in an emergency.
