URC team news: Internationals make return for provinces

Peter O'Mahony and Tadhg Beirne both return among four changes for Munster, ahead of the province's BKT United Rugby Championship meeting with the Stormers on Saturday.

The pair come straight into the starting team for their first appearances since the Rugby World Cup, while Conor Murray is included among the replacements.

O'Mahony comes in to captain the side at blindside flanker to replace Alex Kendellen, where he joins John Hodnett and Gavin Coombes in the back row.

Beirne takes the place of Fineen Wycherley in the second row, with academy prospect Edwin Edogbo included for the fifth time this season.

Diarmuid Barron misses out after suffering a concussion in last week's defeat to Ulster, so Scott Buckley gets the start at hooker where he is joined by John Ryan and Jeremy Loughman in the front row.

The half-back partnership of Craig Casey and Jack Crowley is retained, as is the centre pairing of Alex Nankivell and Antoine Frisch.

The only change to the backline sees academy wing Shay McCarthy take the place of Sean O'Brien, with Calvin Nash and Shane Daly completing the starting side.

Stephen Archer also named among a 6:2 split on the replacements' bench. The tighthead prop is set to make his 268th appearance for Munster, which will equal Donncha O'Callaghan's provincial record.

Munster: Shane Daly; Calvin Nash, Antoine Frisch, Alex Nankivell, Shay McCarthy; Jack Crowley, Craig Casey; Jeremy Loughman, Scott Buckley, John Ryan; Edwin Edogbo, Tadhg Beirne; Peter O'Mahony (capt), John Hodnett, Gavin Coombes.

Replacements: Chris Moore, Josh Wycherley, Stephen Archer, Tom Ahern, Jack O’Donoghue, Conor Murray, Rory Scannell, Alex Kendellen.
