'Unfortunate' - Former Sheffield Wednesday striker gives his take on Bolton Wanderers' equaliser

Clinton Morrison leapt to the defence of Lee Gregory after Sheffield Wednesday were held to a 1-1 draw at Bolton Wanderers. The Owls looked on course to pick up three precious points in their fight to clinch a play-off spot after Jordan Storey gave them a 66th minute lead at the University of Bolton Stadium.

But Wednesday were pegged back in added on time when MJ Williams fired home after Gregory failed to clear Aaron Morley's corner away at the back post. The ball wickedly deflected off the Owls' 10-goal top-scorer and Williams drilled in his first goal for Wanderers to earn Bolton a share of the spoils.

Speaking as a pundit on the EFL highlights show on Quest last night, former Wednesday and Birmingham City striker Morrison said: "Conceding from set pieces; Darren Moore was a brilliant defender and he'll have his team set up, him and Jamie Smith, not to concede goals like this.

"It's difficult because Lee Gregory doesn't see the flight of it because he doesn't think it's coming over and it hits him and they concede from it. He's going to be disappointed with that, Darren Moore, for sure. He is really unfortunate Gregory."

The Owls, who remain fifth in League One, have conceded 17 goals from set pieces this season. "It was a deep ball to the back post and it hit one of our players and it went back into the danger area and they finished it from there," said Moore.
