Ukrainian actress Daria Grinkevich-Zhabskaya firstly visited the Cannes Film Festival

The 75th Anniversary Cannes Film Festival got underway on May 17 on the Côte d'Azur. It is the most prominent film event of the current year. For the first time since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, the Cannes Film Festival returns to its usual format. Unfortunately, this time the event took place against the background of a horrible war unleashed in the center of Europe. For obvious reasons, the Russian delegations were boycotted.

As part of the festival, directors from numerous countries showed their masterpieces: Denmark, Sweden, France, Italy, the USA, and others. The opening ceremony was held at the Palais des Film Festivals and Congresses, located on the Croisette. The appearance of famous filmmakers marked the first day of the Cannes Film Festival. The Ukrainian actress Daria Grinkevich-Zhabskaya snatched an opportunity to see the watershed moment. The audience knows her for such projects as: «Factory Girl», «Back Streets», «Letter from the Far East», «Speed» TV-series, etc.

Visiting the Cannes Film Festival, the young actress noted the strong support from the event organizers. Many Ukrainian films were presented at Cannes this year. Among them: «Listening to the world», «Steppe», «Why am I alive», «Glorious Revolution», «You are space», and «Mariupolis 2». According to Daria, she was greatly impressed by the performance staged by Ukrainian filmmakers headed by director Maxim Nakonechny. All filmmakers took to the red carpet to the sound of sirens.
