Ukraine’s team has won 16 medals — three gold, six silver and seven bronze — and ranks seventh in the medal count at the XIV Winter Paralympic Games, the National Paralympic Committee said.
"The final point of today was Ukraine’s silver and bronze medals in para biathlon. So Ukraine has 16 medals: three gold, six silver and seven bronze," the committee said.
In Friday’s competitions in para biathlon (sprint, pursuit, visually impaired class, men), silver went to Oleksandr Kazik and Serhiy Kucheriavy, and bronze to Anatoliy Kovalevsky and Oleksandr Mukshyn.
Another silver in para biathlon (sprint, pursuit, standing class, men) was won by Hryhoriy Vovchynsky.
In para biathlon (sprint, pursuit, standing class, women), silver also went to Iryna Bui and bronze to Oleksandra Kononova.
Also in para biathlon (sprint, pursuit, sitting class), silver was won by Taras Rad.
Thus, on Friday Ukrainian athletes won six medals at the Paralympics — four silver and two bronze.
