UK’s ‘best artists and DJs’ headed to The Adelphi Lads Club in Salford for summer music festival

Salford-based beer company ShinDigger will be hosting a series of free parties this August, featuring some of the biggest names in music as part of its annual Shingri-La Festival. Following the cancellation of their residency at Talbot Mill, the indie beer company will be welcoming names like Dr. Banana, Mafalda, Alexander Nut and Nabihah Iqbal, while offering up a variety of beers from their summer range.

Taking place at Adelphi Lads Club in Salford, which recently reopened as a bar and music venue, the first residency kicks off on August 6 with an event curated by Jenna G. Artists on the bill include Salford DJ and producer Strategy, who was a member of the original Adelphi Lads Club as a young boy and has released an EP entitled ‘The Adelphi Lads Club’, and will perform alongside Aletha, Lena C, and Mystique.

Shingri-La will continue for the month of August with the line-up promising to deliver a month of performers never seen before in Manchester. Steam Radio will take to the decks - and live stream - on August 13 with Nabihah Iqbal, and Salary Boy among others. The lineup continues on August 20 with performers such as Mafalda, Alexander Nut and Leon Riley.

The Adelphi Lads Club will also be serving a menu to soak up the booze with pizza from Talk to Me Pizza. Highlights will include the ‘Salami’ with San Marzano tomatoes, Fior Di Latte, Pepperoni, Salami Milano, Piquillo Peppers, Oregano and Basil; ‘Twisted Hawaiian’ with San Marzano tomatoes, Fior Di Latte, Crispy Prosciutto, Pineapple Glaze and Piquillo Peppers; and their entirely vegan pizza, ‘The Plaintain’, a Plantain base with vegan mozzarella, caramelised onions, pickled scotch
