UFC star Kevin Holland trains with Man City legend Joleon Lescott in Texas

UFC fighter Kevin Holland showed Joleon Lescott a few moves as the pair trained together in Texas.

When we’re talking about some of the most eccentric fighters in the UFC, and perhaps in all of mixed martial arts, Kevin Holland is usually found towards the top of that list.

The 29-year-old goes out there to entertain the masses and whether he wins or loses, he tends to accomplish that goal more often than not.

‘Trailblazer’ has even taken his talents outside of the cage, too, often thwarting those committing crimes in his local neighbourhood as if he’s a modern-day superhero.

In terms of his work inside the Octagon, Holland is currently riding a two-fight win streak after returning to the welterweight division – and his efforts haven’t gone unnoticed by those outside of the sport.

Joleon Lescott is known by many for being a former Manchester City and England defender alongside spells at a variety of other clubs. In his post-retirement days, Lescott has done a lot of work with both City and in the world of punditry.

As a centre-back we all know you often have to get ‘stuck in’ and showcase your physicality on the pitch in order to gain an advantage. With that in mind, we still don’t think it would’ve been enough to prepare him for the following training session with Holland.

The two were training with one another ahead of the UFC’s big return to Abu Dhabi this October.

The event, UFC 280, is currently shaping up to be one of the most stacked cards of the year with two title fights in two of the promotion’s landmark divisions – lightweight and bantamweight.

UFC’s relationship with Abu Dhabi has been blossoming for years now and the creation of Fight Island in the midst of the pandemic only helped to strengthen their bond.
