UFC star Jose Aldo rips into TJ Dillashaw and Henry Cejudo for calling out Aljamain Sterling

UFC legend Jose Aldo believes neither TJ Dillashaw nor Henry Cejudo deserve to fight for the bantamweight title in their next fight.

Former 135lbs champ Dillashaw is expected to be the next in line to challenge Aljamain Sterling when he returns later this year after Petr Yan narrowly failed at the second attempt.

The disgraced drug cheat, 36, immediately propelled himself back into title contention upon his return from suspension following his split decision victory over Cory Sandhagen in July of last year, his first victory in over three years.

But the Brazilian doesn’t believe Dillashaw deserves to face Sterling in his comeback fight due to his past indiscretions.

He wrote on Twitter: “Aljamain, I am waiting for you to sign the contract for our fight.

“There is no doubt that the fans want to watch this fight. We are currently the 2 best bantamweights in the UFC.

“Let the rest of the boys fighting each other and exchanging insults on the Internet.

“In my opinion it does not make any sense to let a guy who got suspended for 2 years for cheating to come back and fight for the belt after winning a split decision in a fight I think he lost.”

Similarly, Aldo went on to add that he doesn’t think that Sterling should be the one to welcome Cejudo back to the Octagon when he returns.

He added: “The other one is a clown who faked his retirement just to try to raise his purse – as that did not work now he want to fight for the title after spending 2 years out of the game [and out of the USADA’s pool].

“So let’s fight for the title while they sell popcorn in the arena.

“Whoever sells more popcorn fights with whoever wins our fight. Deal? Let’s do this, Champ!”
