UFC star Charles Oliveira compares himself to Neymar and backs Brazil to win the World Cup

Charles Oliveira has compared himself to PSG star Neymar and backed the Brazil national team to win this year’s FIFA World Cup.

The legend of Charles Oliveira has continued to grow with each and every passing victory in the last few years, to the point whereby he’s now considered to be one of the best lightweights in the history of mixed martial arts.

His rise to prominence didn’t come overnight, though, and it actually took the 33-year-old a long time to scratch and claw his way to the top.

In many ways, that journey links quite well to the international adventures of Neymar.

The Paris Saint-Germain and Brazil star is often viewed as one of the best players of his generation and yet despite that, he has yet to lift either the World Cup or Copa America trophy for his country.

He’ll get another crack next month as the FWC heads to Qatar, and according to UFC star Charles Oliveira, they’ve got a pretty good chance of going all the way.

“I feel that the team has really gelled. Tite has done a really good job at actually putting some young boys together and assembling a young team. This time, I think we’ve made an actual team. 

“A lot of young talent that has played overseas for quite some time, and they’ve had a lot of responsibility on their shoulders and they know how to face that kind of pressure on the world stage. I do think we have everything to actually win the championship.”
