UFC Paris: Ciryl Gane & Tai Tuivasa moment mid-fight loved by fans
Tai Tuivasa took on Ciryl Gane at UFC Paris last night and it’s already being called an absolute classic by fans around the world tanks in large parts to its brutal but also respectful nature.
The pair were embroiled in a brutal clash in the Octagon, with Gane landing a range of destructive blows to his opponent, but he wasn’t for budging.
It took until the third round for Gane to finally get the knockout, but it probably should have come sooner on in that very round as he delivered one of the most vicious kicks to the chin of Tai Tuivasa, but he didn’t even go down.
He managed to stay on his feet and continue to battle on in the round, much to the shock of all those watching. When continuing, he missed his attempted strikes like he had done during the majority of the fight prior to his defeat. It was all over later in the round, with Gane now looking to be the number one challenger to take on Francis Ngannou.
The Cameroonian is still the heavyweight champion despite being injured since his last victory back in January this year when he got the better of Gane himself.
However, it appears that he has learnt from his mistakes in the Octagon during that bout and has gone from strength to strength, including that incredible performance this weekend.
