UFC 277: Amanda Nunes' right-hook on Julianna Pena in slow motion is so brutal

Slow-motion footage has emerged of Amanda Nunes catching Julianna Peña with a brutal right-hook during their contest at UFC 277.

Nunes regained the UFC Women’s Bantamweight title over Peña via unanimous decision, having lost the belt to her rival last December.

Peña pulled off one of the greatest upsets in UFC history in Las Vegas last year, but she could not repeat the feat this time around as the Lioness showed her class by dominating the fight.

The Brazilian dropped her opponent on three occasions during the second round and by the end of the contest, the canvas was stained with Peña’s blood.

Nunes used her right hook to devastating effect and a slow-motion clip of Peña being viciously caught has started to circulate online.

At one point in the second round, Peña attempted to take the initiative and run forward at her opponent.

Nunes, however, was unfazed and bided her time, before unleashing a savage right hook, to send her opponent flying.

While the punch was not enough to knock out Peña, fans were still quick to react to the incident.

One said: “She’s [Peña] lucky that she wasn’t sleeping on the canvas after this.”

Meanwhile, another said: “Ran right into an avalanche.”

Some also stressed that Peña had walked right into the shot and shouldn’t have been charging at her opponent.

“Pena kept walking forward towards Amanda Nunes and got dropped by the same right hook three times in the same round. No idea what she was thinking,” said one fan.

Another echoed this statement and wrote: “This woman knocked out Cyborg and sent her body tumbling on the canvas.
