UFC 276: Miesha Tate contest moved to summer fight card
Reports have emerged that suggests Miesha Tate will be fighting on the UFC 276 card.
‘Cupcake’ made her return to the octagon in July 2021 with a win over Marion Reneau, but has since lost to Ketlen Vieira just before Christmas.
The UFC great will be looking to take her returning record to 2-1 when she gets back into action later this year as she continues to readjust to life in the octagon.

Tate’s debut in the Flyweight division was originally scheduled for Saturday 14th May 2022, but this has now been pushed back to the UFC 276 card.
Ariel Helwani first reported the switch, noting on Twitter: “Miesha Tate vs. Lauren Murphy is being moved to UFC 276 on July 2, per sources. Tate’s flyweight debut, coming off her recent win on Celebrity Big Brother.”
Prior to the contest being announced, Tate explained to MMAFighting why she decided to make the change to the UFC’s Flyweight division.
“When I got into the UFC, it was only 135 [pound division],” Tate told MMA Fighting. “By the time 125 came around, I was just so enveloped at 135 trying to win the title and then obviously the rivalry with Ronda [Rousey], and then I did win it against Holly [Holm].
“But as the sport has evolved, I’ve just very rarely ever had a reach advantage. I’ve rarely had a height advantage.”
The change of weight class will pose a challenge for the fighter, as her opponent Murphy is coming off of a title fight to reigning 125-pound Champion Valentina Shevchenko.
