UAE’s Al-Mansoori takes bronze as Hagin wins powerboat racing F2 world title

Team Abu Dhabi’s Mansoor Al-Mansoori was forced to settle for third place in the 2022 UIM F2 World Championship as Germany’s Stefan Hagin clinched the title in the Grand Prix of Portugal on Sunday.

Al-Mansoori’s brave bid to succeed teammate Rashed Al-Qemzi as world champion had seen him carry the lead into the final round of the series in Vila Velha de Ródão.

It was not to be on this occasion, and the Emirati slipped two places to ninth on the first lap, quickly recovering one of those positions on the next.
