Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou: Gypsy King sends warning ahead of potential hybrid fight
WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury looks set to take on UFC star Francis Ngannou in an exhibition fight described as ‘the clash of the titans’.
Following The Gypsy King’s victory over Dillian Whyte last Saturday at Wembley Stadium, he announced that he is retiring from boxing, however the opportunity to face one of the heaviest hitters in the world could prove too enticing.
Fury cruised to a sixth-round knockout win over Whyte in front of 94,000 in attendance at the national stadium and showed once again that his own punching power is massively underrated.
It appears that although Fury is done with boxing, he certainly is not done with fighting, as in his post-fight speech he invited Ngannou into the ring to talk up about a potential fight.
The heavyweight duo discussed hybrid rules for the exhibition match and Fury was as confident as ever that he would be the one to emerge victorious.
“Yeah, I think it would be an exhibition fight,” he said to talkSPORT. “Great, great clash of the titans and obviously I would win.”
What an uppercut
