Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou fight rules including rounds and ring size

Tyson Fury is preparing to put his undefeated record on the line against former UFC champion Francis Ngannou.

The WBC heavyweight champion has agreed to face Ngannou in the ring for the MMA’s star’s boxing debut. It is a crossover clash that has bizarrely been 18 months in the making after the two fighters faced off in the ring, following Fury’s stoppage win over Dillian Whyte in April 2022.

It was announced in September that the two men will put all four heavyweight belts on the line, once Fury is through his test with Nganou, to crown the first undisputed heavyweight champion since Lennox Lewis in 1999.

However, for Ngannou, this is a realisation of a dream that began when watching videos of Mike Tyson in his native Cameroon. Ngannou travelled to France in hope of becoming a professional boxer but was living on the streets in Paris before being introduced to MMA, a decade ago. The 37-year-old was the reigning UFC champion when he turned down a new contract in a bid to shock the world against Fury.
