Tyson Fury vs Dillian Whyte: John Fury thinks Jarrell Miller deserves ‘another chance’

John Fury has said he believes Jarrell Miller deserves another chance from the boxing world despite his doping controversies.

Back in early 2019, Jarrell Miller was scheduled to take on Anthony Joshua at Madison Square Garden. It would’ve easily served as the biggest fight of his career to date but instead, Andy Ruiz Jr would take on Joshua after Miller tested positive for GW501516, with further tests finding EPO and HGH.

Another failure one year later saw him take an extended period of time off but a few weeks back, he was seen to be in England where he’s played a role in the training camp of Tyson Fury.

‘The Gypsy King’ will take on Dillian Whyte this weekend at Wembley Stadium with Miller being brought in to give the champion something different to work with.

In a recent interview with the Metro, Tyson’s father John expressed his gratitude towards Miller and the help he provided.

“These boys we have had in camp, they are as good as what is out there,” Fury said.

“Jarrell Miller, there is a stigma around his name but he deserves another chance and we give people chances. He was doing his job [in camp], performing well and working hard and he’s a nice young man.

“I was glad to have had him in camp. He has given us every pound he is worth in what he’s doing. He has come in here, worked hard and done his thing. I can’t fault Jarrell Miller.

“People have all got a past. If you look at the past and not the future, you end up making a wrong turn somewhere. He is only a young man, he still has plenty left in front of him.”

‘Big Baby’ is obviously interested in getting back into the ring but after more than three years away, it’ll be easier said than done.
