Tyson Fury vs Dillian Whyte: Body Snatcher is giving the Gypsy King 'a bit of his own medicine'

Dillian Whyte is giving Tyson Fury ‘a bit of his own medicine’, former cruiserweight world champion Johnny Nelson believes.

The Body Snatcher has incurred the wrath of the Gypsy King’s promoter Frank Warren by refusing to play ball as they build up to their fight.

Whyte, 34, didn’t turn up to last month’s press conference and has also remained radio-silent on social media.

But Nelson, 55, doesn’t think he is doing anything wrong – quite the opposite in fact.

The Sky Sports pundit told Pro Boxing Fans: “Dillian Whyte is doing a Tyson Fury on Tyson Fury. He’s not playing ball. He’s doing it at his pace, his rules.

“So, Tyson Fury must understand what’s happening there. This isn’t Dillian’s problem, this isn’t Tyson’s problem. This is the promoter’s problem.

“The fight will go on, the guys will fight. Dillian Whyte is giving Tyson a bit of his own medicine. Remember Tyson doing antics like this? No.

“Obviously, not saying stuff, but doing antics like this when he boxed Klitschko.

“The idea is to upset the applecart on the other side. So, Dillian Whyte is doing the right thing.”

Meanwhile Fury, 33, has faced criticism in some quarters after it emerged that he has drafted in Jarrell Miller as a sparring partner in his training camp to replicate Whyte’s fighting style.

The American boxer, also 33, is currently serving a backdated two-year suspension after being banned from boxing for repeated doping offences by the Nevada State Athletic Commission.

Miller’s suspension will end this coming June provided he continues to test negative through a Voluntary Anti-Doping Agency (VADA) program.

However, Nelson insists Fury was well within his right to do so, as he hasn’t done anything wrong either.
