Tyson Fury vs Derek Chisora: Gypsy King wanted ref to stop last fight with Del Boy

Tyson Fury is arguably the biggest name in boxing at the moment, with almost every breaking news story being about The Gypsy King and his defence of his WBC heavyweight title in December.

As things stand, Fury is without an opponent despite confirming he’ll be back in action on December 3, and has set his sights on a new opponent given the delays over the contract with Anthony Joshua.

It appears that Fury has turned his fist to an old foe, with a contract to complete a trilogy with Derek Chisora allegedly on the table.

Fury and Chisora have already gone toe-to-toe twice in the ring, with the pair last taking each other on back in 2014, with the first fight three years earlier.

The first bout between the two went all the way to the judges, although it was an easy decision, with The Gypsy King winning via unanimous decision.

In their rematch, Fury was even more dominant, forcing Chisora’s corner to throw the towel in after the 10th round following a savage beating for half an hour.

The Gypsy King is constantly on social media, calling out his potential challengers and laying down the law, commanding proceedings and setting his own deadlines for deals to be made.

That appears to be the stumbling block with a potential fight with AJ, with boxing fans around the world looking like we’ll miss out on this heavyweight showdown more and more as each day passes.

Adding that to the fact Fury is offering fights to others such as Chisora on that date suggests he well and truly has lost his patience with AJ.

Whilst a trilogy could be just round the corner, it seems apt to look at the brutal nature of Fury’s victory in their second fight back in 2014.
