Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua fight date, venue and everything we know so far

Tyson Fury called out Anthony Joshua on social media on Monday afternoon, paving the way for the WBC Heavyweight World Champion to face his long-time heavyweight rival.

The pair have remarkably never faced one another despite a two-fight deal having been agreed in 2020 before Fury was ordered to fight Deontay Wilder in a trilogy fight by a US court. This meant that last autumn Fury faced Wilder for a third time, claiming victory, while 'AJ' lost to Oleksandr Usyk in their first fight.

This year has seen circumstance make it appear as a fight could have been further away than ever, with Fury successfully defending his WBC belt and declaring that he would like to face Usyk in a unification bout in the wake of the Ukrainian's win against Joshua last month.

However, a fight is yet to be agreed and this has led to Fury's call-out of Joshua yesterday, with the 34-year-old posting to social media and saying: "I think you've all heard I'm going to be fighting soon, in the next few months. "I think before I announce an opponent, I need to do this just in case.

"Anthony Joshua, I know you've just lost a fight to Usyk and you're bout-less at the moment. I'd like to give you an opportunity to fight me for the WBC heavyweight championship of the world and the lineal championship in the next few months.

"You're coming off a 12-round fight so you're match fit, you're ready. I'm giving you a few months' notice. If you're interested, I'll send you a date over and we can rumble. A battle of Britain for the WBC championship of the world; if you're not interested, let me know and I'll select another opponent."
