Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua: Ex-coach recalls moment AJ ‘wobbled’ Gypsy King in 2010

Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua was the big fight everyone wanted to see in the boxing world, with a deal in place, but Deontay Wilder ended those dreams.

He demanded his third fight in the trilogy with Fury and wouldn’t step aside, meaning Joshua had to wait for his shot at the Gypsy King.

In the meantime, Joshua took on Oleksandr Usyk but lost his belts after falling to a unanimous defeat, being outpointed by the Ukrainian.

Eddie Hearn has suggested that the fight could happen and Fury has fuelled the rumours, claiming half a billion pounds would see him come out of retirement and take part in an undisputed heavyweight division bout with the winner of Joshua vs Usyk 2.

Despite a clash between Fury and Joshua being sought after by boxing fans worldwide, some lucky people have seen them in the ring already.

Back in 2010, the pair shared three rounds in the ring together during a sparring session and one man lucky enough to be present was Finchley Amateur Boxing trainer, Sean Murphy.

“He’s quite relaxed, and Josh is hitting him with a setup one-two left hook uppercut and sort of wobbled him.

“So, it was like, ‘Oh, f***ing hell, this is serious now.’ We won the first round.

“Second round Tyson started to give him a little bit of verbal, sort of getting in his head. Tyson won the second round.

“So I gave Josh a b*llocking, ‘What the f*** are you doing! Calm down, you’re letting him get into your head now. He’s beating you. Go back out and box like you did in the first
