Tyson Fury's retirement hinges on key talks with the WBC

WBC and The Ring heavyweight champion Tyson Fury will give fans some clarity on his future after talks with WBC this week.

Ever since his triumph over Dillian Whyte at Wembley last month, fans have been wondering whether or not Fury would follow through on his promise to retire from professional boxing. His in-ring interview after the bout was fairly inconclusive, with ‘The Gypsy King’ being sure to keep us all on our toes.

Unfortunately for Fury, he won’t be able to keep us in suspense for much longer as he prepares for talks with the commission over what he’s going to do next in his career.

As per the president via Sky Sports, he’s looking forward to communicating with the champ.

“The WBC will be communicating with Tyson Fury and his promoters about his future plans in the coming week,” WBC president Mauricio Sulaimán said.

“We are ready to support him on whatever he decides. If he decides to retire the WBC will fully support him.

“It is our dream to see fighters retire with such greatness. Undefeated champion, financially protected with a loving family and a great future outside the ring.
