Tyson Fury outlines his terms for 'free' Anthony Joshua fight

Anthony Joshua vs Tyson Fury is the fight we’ve all wanted to see. 

Over the past two years or so, Fury has gone toe-to-toe against fellow British heavyweight Dilian Whyte, as well as beating Deontay Wilder twice in Las Vegas. 

Meanwhile, AJ has come up against Kubrat Pulev and Oleksandr Usyk, with the pair set to battle it out on August 20 again in Saudi Arabia. 

With money a huge part within sport and boxing in particular, the Gypsy King has made claims that he would only be willing to fight Joshua for free. 

On instagram, Fury said: “This is a reconfirmation of what I’ve said about fighting Anthony Joshua for f**k all in England.

“That’s how the fight happens. I’ll sign the contract today. The fights got to be for free. Free to our television and all tickets go for free. No money is to be made from this British, historic fight, if it happens.

“There’s the terms. I’m in the driving seat. Taking it or f’ing leave it. The ball is in your court. Either way, I don’t give a damn. There’s the offer. Peace out.”

Fury and Joshua agreed to a two-fight deal, with the first supposed to happen in the summer of 2021 and the rematch expected around December or in early 2022.

Eddie Hearn has previously spoken on a first bout potentially taking place in Saudi Arabia.  

However, with money certainly not the case for Fury, the decision is throughly in Joshua’s hands. 

Both Brits have previously spoken by phone, with Fury saying: “He [Joshua] phoned me up one day in a mood to say he was gonna do this and do that to me. It didn’t fare too well for him, let’s say that… I just told him the truth. The truth always hurts.”
