Tyson Fury next fight: Top Rank president explains two possible options for potential comeback

Tyson Fury‘s US promoter and Top Rank president Todd DuBoef has given his thoughts on the Gypsy King’s retirement.

Fury, 33, made his long-awaited return to the ring two months ago at Wembley Stadium in London on April 23.

The 33-year-old was welcomed back to the ring by British rival Dillian Whyte, whom he had previously sparred with back in the day.

The return of the Gypsy King went pretty much the way everyone thought it would as he demolished Whyte inside six rounds to successfully defend his WBC heavyweight world title.

Fury handed Whyte his third KO loss courtesy of a picture-perfect uppercut that sent his opponent crashing to the canvas, which forced referee Mark Lyson to call a halt to proceedings.

As is always the case immediately after a Fury fight, attention soon turned to as to whom he’ll fight next amid reports claiming he could face the winner of Anthony Joshua‘s rematch with Oleksandr Usyk.

But Fury shocked the world by announcing his retirement from boxing shortly after beating Whyte.

However, no-one really expects that to last for very long.

DuBoef also admitted that a showdown with UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou could be in the offing for his client.

But he also claimed that the decision is entirely down to him.

DuBoef told Sky Sports: “I think there is obviously a lot brewing about the rematch between AJ and Usyk.

“Obviously that has always been on his and everybody’s target, but I think at this point there is nothing to be talked about because he hasn’t determined what he wants to do.

“Maybe the winner, when that fight happens, can pull him out, or maybe something else can be motivational like Ngannou.
