Tyson Fury makes fresh Oleksandr Usyk accusation as he vows to avenge first career defeat

Tyson Fury has reiterated his belief that Oleksandr Usyk was "gifted" the victory by the judges in their undisputed heavyweight world title showdown back in March but is adamant he will knock the Ukrainian out in their December rematch.

The Gypsy King suffered the first defeat of his professional boxing career when he lost a split points decision to former undisputed cruiserweight world champion Usyk, and was fortunate to hear the bell at the end of the ninth round after being on the end of a barrage of punches from the 37-year-old.

Fury sparked controversy in the ring after the fight when he claimed that Usyk had only been given the decision because of Ukraine's on-going defence of the country following Russia's invasions and has once again, and having watched the bout back has not changed his mind one bit. Speaking to iFL TV, at an event ahead of tonight's heavyweight world title clash between Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois, the 36-year-old said: "I didn't think it was close, I hands down believe it (that he won the fight) and Usyk will too.

"He got a gift decision over the Gypsy King, end of… If you give him (rounds) eight, nine and ten and class nine as a two-rounder, he didn't win any other rounds in that fight. Even give him round one for the sake of it and how does he win? He doesn't.

"It is what it is, it's over now. They've took my virginity unfairly. It'd probably feel weird if I'd done it for £50, but considering I got broke in for a lot of money it doesn't really matter. It is what it is, you can't undo a decision, but I've got the chance to do it again in December, and that's what we'll do. I will knock him out."
