Tyson Fury jokes 'I'll sink 10 pints' with Oleksandr Usyk once undisputed heavyweight showdown is out the way

Tyson Fury has hinted that he would be up for going out for a drink with Oleksandr Usyk once their colossal dust-up for the undisputed heavyweight championship next month.

On May 18 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the two undefeated fighters will do battle to be crowned as the first undisputed champion since Lennox Lewis and the first heavyweight boxer to capture all four major belts in the history of the sport. The duo had initially signed on to share the ring back on February 17, only for the showdown to be postponed after Fury suffered a nasty cut above his eye in sparring.

Ever since then the two champions have been involved in a bitter war of words in the build-up to the highly anticipated fight. World contenders Anthony Joshua, Joseph Parker and Filip Hrgovic will all be watching on with interest as they await another shot at the championship, but the winner of the match-up between Fury and Usyk will have to defend their belts in an immediate rematch, having signed on for a two-fight deal.

Despite the previous bad blood with his Ukrainian opponent, the Gypsy King has joked that he would have no problem taking Usyk out for a beer in his hometown of Morecambe. In a chat with former two-weight world champion boxer Carl Frampton and reporter Steve Bunce on TNT Sports' Boxing Youtube channel, he said: "I don't have hold any animosity towards any of the fighters that I have fought or will fight in the future.

"He seems to be a decent fella. He is a god fearing man who has little kids of his own. What more can you do? I can imagine us sinking 10 pints apiece as he seems like that type of character. We have got to spend our money from Saudi on something."
