Tyson Fury finally comments on drunk taxi video

Tyson Fury is one of the best boxers Britain has ever produced, but he retired earlier this year while still holding the WBC Heavyweight Title.

He has plenty of high profile victories throughout his career, including Deontay Wilder, Dillian Whyte and Wladimir Klitschko.

Although he is retired, the Gypsy King is still keeping up his training regime as rumours over a potential return and the chance to become the undisputed Heavyweight World Champion emerge.

Despite his ability in the ring, controversy has followed him on the outside.

He has had plenty of problems with drugs and they seem to have followed him. He vacated his titles in 2016 after the British Boxing Board of Control met to discuss revoking his licence to fight after testing positive for cocaine.

This all came after he had already failed a test with UK Anti-Doping and was suspended as he tested positive for a prohibited substance.

Fury then went public with his demons, he was battling depression and starting the long road to recovery after spiralling into a pit of booze and drug fuelled meltdown.

He appears to have put the worst behind him, coming back and dominating his opponents in the ring, but he admitted recently that he still battles daily with his mental health.

It’s good to see someone use their platform to smash the stigma around mental health and hopefully help those that need to see their doctor make the decision to go and get the aid they need to start their own recovery.

Although Fury appears to have put the majority of his dark days behind him, he still can’t keep clean in terms of bad press, continuing to create negative headlines.
