Tyson Fury accused of forgetting about former opponent after fourth straight win

Heavyweight contender Otto Wallin has accused Tyson Fury of ‘forgetting’ about him in the wake of their 2019 war.

Just under three years ago, Otto Wallin took Tyson Fury to the limit in what proved to be one of the toughest tests to date for ‘The Gypsy King’. He was rocked, opened up with some nasty cuts and taken the full distance, with Fury just about being able to avoid the fight being stopped – which was a real risk thanks to the graphic nature of the cut above his eye.

From that point, the Brit proceeded to defeat Deontay Wilder twice before seeing off the challenge of Dillian Whyte last month at Wembley. He’s promised to ride off into the sunset and end his pro career but within the boxing community, there aren’t a whole lot of folks that believe he genuinely wants to walk away.

Otto Wallin, who hasn’t lost since dropping the decision to Fury, continues to go from strength to strength and is hungrier than most for another crack at The Ring and WBC heavyweight champion.

In a post-fight interview following his win last night, Wallin went straight to the point in an attempt to grab Tyson’s attention.

“I want to say thanks to everyone who came out,” Wallin said. “It’s my first time in Michigan and I really enjoyed it. (Tyson) Fury forgot about me. He doesn’t want to fight, but I’m still going to be the next heavyweight champion from Sweden, no matter who I have to beat.”
