Tyrell Malacia makes impression in first Man Utd training session with Alex Telles moment

Tyrell Malacia has impressed Manchester United fans after video footage emerged from his first training session with his new club.

The left-back arrived at the Red Devils earlier this week from Feyenoord, becoming Erik ten Hag's first signing. Malacia will come in to battle Luke Shaw and Alex Telles for a place in Ten Hag's starting line-up and appears to have made a good start to life in Manchester.

United are set to head off for a pre-season tour of Asia and Australia on Friday, with Malacia joining them on the plane. There was time for one final training session at Carrington, with the 22-year-old part of Ten Hag's squad for the first time.

Malacia also spent time as one of the defensive players, though there was only a brief clip of him closing down Taith Chong. Even so, United supporters were left delighted by his efforts, praising him for beating Telles in their duel.

One supporter tweeted: "Malacia looks really promising." Another added: "The way Malacia makes sure telles leg don’t touch the ball in the video," while a third joked: "He’s bodying Telles already."
