Two taken to hospital with road closed off after crash

Two people were taken to hospital after a crash in Bolton in the early hours of this morning.

The smash happened on Darwen Road in the Bromley Cross area. Emergency crews, including police and paramedics, were called to the scene at around 1.50am.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said the crash involved two cars. Two people were taken to hospital.

The extent of their injuries have not yet been confirmed. No details have been revealed on whether any arrests were made.

The road was shut a number of hours after the crash as emergency crews responded. It was reopened again by around 6.30am this morning.
