Two Super League players banned by RFL's Match Review Panel

Wigan Warriors forward Kaide Ellis will miss Saturday’s trip to Hull FC after being handed a one-match ban.

Ellis has copped the suspension after the Match Review Panel charged him for Grade B High Tackle during last Thursday’s defeat at Huddersfield Giants. Crucially, however, Ellis will be available to return in the Challenge Cup final against Huddersfield at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium the following week.

Castleford Tigers front-rower Liam Watts, meanwhile, will serve a two-match ban after being charged with a Grade B Tripping offence during his side’s home win over Hull Kingston Rovers on Sunday. He will miss Friday’s trip to Salford Red Devils and the home clash with Wigan on June 4.

Wakefield Trinity hooker Liam Hood has been handed a caution for ‘Other Contrary Behaviour’ during his side’s defeat at Toulouse Olympique on Sunday.
