Two pundits predict exact same scoreline in Manchester United vs Fulham Premier League fixture

Manchester United will be targeting a fifth successive Premier League win when they welcome Fulham to Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon.

United, who edged past the Cottagers in the reverse fixture at Craven Cottage back in November, winning 1-0, will be looking to build on last Sunday's 2-1 triumph over Luton Town at Kenilworth Road. Rasmus Hojlund netted an early brace to ensure the Reds scooped all three points.

Though United were pushed every step of the way by the relegation-threatened Hatters, they held on to get the job done, moving them to within five points of the top four. Should they add another three points to their tally this weekend, they will move level on points with fifth-placed Tottenham Hotspur.

"They have only won once away in the league all season, against Everton on the opening weekend. I don't think this will be easy for United, because Fulham are a dangerous counter-attacking team, but Erik ten Hag's time are playing with more freedom at the moment, which is why I think they will win."

Prediction: United 2-1 Fulham

Merson, penning his prediction for Sportskeeda, said:
