Two pedestrians involved in serious crash outside pub as police close road

Two pedestrians were involved in a crash outside a pub in Stockport, the Manchester Evening News understands.

Police were called to reports of the collision outside The Church Inn in Ravenoak Road at 4.30pm this afternoon (August 17). An air ambulance landed nearby shortly after, according to eyewitnesses, but it is unclear whether anyone was taken in the helicopter.

More than 10 emergency service vehicles were at the scene including eight police vehicles which remained after the ambulances left. A cordon has been put in place at the junction of Ravenoak Road, Ack Lane West and Church Road causing queuing traffic in the area.
