Two men GUILTY of murder after teen shot dead in 'targeted and planned attack'

Two men have been found guilty of murdering a teenage boy shot once in the back in a 'targeted and planned attack'. Nyle Corrigan, 19, was fatally shot when two gunmen ambushed him by the side of Boode Croft in Stockbridge Village, Merseyside, in November 2020.

Jamie Coggins, 28, Martin Wilson, 37, Connor Smith, 26, and Anthony Llewellyn, 25, were on trial accused of murder and conspiracy to possess a 9mm Glock self-loading pistol with intent to endanger life. Wilson and Smith were found guilty of murder today - Tuesday, December 17 - following 12 hours and eight minutes of deliberations by a jury of six men and five women. One juror was discharged for medical reasons.

Coggins was found not guilty of murder, but was convicted by the jury of assisting an offender. Llewellyn was cleared of all charges. The four men had been joined in the dock by Smith's parents - Melanie Smith, 47, and Mark Sharpe, 49 - who were accused of assisting an offender. They were both cleared of the charges and were discharged from the dock.

The jury has reached its verdicts, and that is the most important thing. If you please leave and make a peaceful retreat from the building."

Smith, Wilson and Coggins will be sentenced on Thursday, reports The Echo.

Jurors previously heard that two gunmen, “wearing gloves and masks and with their hoods pulled up”, armed themselves with a 9mm Glock handgun and
