Two men arrested after police discover huge stash of drugs and cash

Two men have been arrested after a huge stash of drugs and cash were found in Oldham.

Police also came across a large knife when they raided a property in the Hollins area today (Thursday). During a search of the address, suspected class A and B drugs were seized along with a large sum of cash.

Officers also seized a vehicle that was parked outside the address. During a search of the vehicle, officers discovered more drugs and cash.

Two men, aged 23 and 18, have been arrested on suspicion of possessing controlled drugs with the intent to supply. They both remain in custody.

Sergeant Rob Coggin, of Greater Manchester Police's Failsworth and Hollinwood Neighbourhood Team, said: “Thanks to intelligence we received, we have been able to make these arrests.

“We are committed to tackling this type of criminality that blights our communities and as a team we are dedicated to making our streets safer for those who live and work in the area.

“I’d like to take this opportunity to appeal to members of the public for information. If you’ve noticed any suspicious activity in your area, or you suspect drug dealing or production in your area. We will act on this information.
