Two men and woman charged with drug offences after GMP dawn raids

Two men and a woman have been charged on suspicion of drug offences after early-morning police raids in Stockport.

Officers carried out four warrants in the early hours of Tuesday morning (January 9). They were carried out as part of a crackdown on organised crime, police said previously.

During searches, police recovered around £40k in cash, large quantities of white powder believed to be cocaine, vacuum packed cannabis, over 30,000 nitrous oxide cannisters, six Breitling watches and two Rolex watches. Two men and two women were arrested.

In an update issued this morning (January 10), police said three people had since been charged following the warrants. Geoffrey Kirk, 41, and Lee Kirk, 52, both of Victoria Street, Openshaw, have been charged with conspiracy to supply Class A and B drugs, money laundering and possessing an offensive weapon.

Both have been remanded into custody. They are set to appear at Stockport Magistrates' Court today.

Claire Lea, 47, of Claremont Range, Manchester, has been charged with abstracting electricity and possession of cannabis. She has been bailed ahead of an appearance at Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court on February 22, police said.

Another female who was arrested during the raids has been bailed.
