Two M4 crashes cause delays of up to 90 mins through rush hour - live
Two crashes have caused travel delays on the M4 at rush hour, totalling an estimated 90 minutes of additional travel time.
There are queues for around 10 miles on the M4 due to a blocked lane on the M4 Prince of Wales Bridge eastbound after a crash at about 7am on Wednesday, February 8.
The crash happened between junction 23 M48 to junction 22 M49. Congestion is trailing to before junction 24 at the Coldra roundabout in Newport. Travel time through the area is said to be about 60 minutes. Lane three (of three) is blocked.
There has also been a second crash on the M4 eastbound at Port Talbot involving three vehicles. According to traffic monitoring system INRIX, there are long delays and one lane blocked due to an accident with three vehicles involved on M4 Eastbound between J42 A483 (Swansea East / Briton Ferry) and J41 A48 Pentyla-Baglan Road (Baglan / Pentyla).
Travel time in this area is 30 minutes and lane two (of two) is blocked.
