Two Huddersfield Town youngsters head out on loan with promotion pushes on the line

Huddersfield Town already have a coterie of young players out on loan further down the divisions, and two more B team players have now gone out to separate clubs in the National League North to help their new teams push for a place in the play-offs.

Gateshead and Brackley Town look likely to fight it out for the sole automatic promotion place, but the teams finishing between second and seventh with compete in the play-offs in may for a place in the National League.

Myles Bright recently caught the eye off the bench in the B team's Premier League Cup defeat to Stoke City under-23s, and he will now spend the rest of the season playing ove the Pennines with Chorley. The Lancashire side currently sit fifth in the sixth tier and have 11 games left to hold on to their play-off place.

Meanwhile, Connor Shanks joins Lincolnshire side Boston United, who currently sit eighth in the table, out of the top seven on goal difference alone - albeit having played one more game than seventh-placed York City. Earlier this season Shanks spent a short spell in the seventh tier with Nuneaton Borough.

The two players could go head-to-head in a competitive game within the next two weeks when Chorley host Boston United on Tuesday 5th April.

Other Town players currently out on loan include Rarmani Edmonds-Green (Rotherham), Romoney Crichlow (Plymouth), Kieran Phillips (Exeter) and Kian Harratt (Port Vale) as the Terriers look to give their youngsters competitive experience.
