Two drivers taken to hospital after serious A4232 crash in Cardiff
Two people are in hospital after a serious accident on a main Cardiff road. Police were called to a crash involving a silver Volkswagen Polo and silver Mercedes E250 on the A4232 Southern Way flyover at around 10.35pm on Monday night (June 27).
A spokesman for South Wales Police said that the drivers of both vehicles were taken by ambulance to the University Hospital of Wales where they are receiving treatment for their injuries. Police are appealing for anyone that may have witnessed the collision, has mobile phone footage of the accident or dash cam footage to report it to South Wales Police either online or via 101 quoting reference number 1166 of June 27, 2022.
Traffic monitoring system Inrix is showing that the A4232 re-opened in both directions from Lamby Way to A4161 Newport Road re-opened around 6am after an oil spillage at the scene was cleared up and investigation work ended.
