Two charged with conspiracy to supply class A drugs after police raids

Two men have been charged with conspiring to supply class A drugs after police raided a number of properties in north and east Manchester.

Officers from GMP's City of Manchester division raided the homes in the Miles Platting and Beswick areas of the city at about 11am yesterday (Tuesday, February 22).

They formed part of a wider investigation into the trade of class A drugs in Beswick and Manchester city centre.

Jamie Collins, 31, of Purslow Close, Beswick and Anthony Makenna, 22, of Ridgeway Street, Miles Platting, have both been charged with conspiracy to supply crack cocaine and heroin.

They were both remanded in custody ahead of an appearance at Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court earlier today (February 23).
