Two burning Rangers transfer rumours spark Hotline hilarity as Ibrox 'desperation' has Celtic fans in stitches

Transfer fever is sweeping the Hotline and a couple of swirling Rangers rumours haven't gone down particularly well.

They're sharing a training base with Sheffield Wednesday this week and have been linked with a move to bring Josh Windass back to the club. Peter Cooperwhite said: "Can't believe what I read on the Rangers WhatsApp, now we might be considering Josh Windass. Haven't been massively impressed with the signings but really have to up the ante. Do no big names want to come to Rangers?"

They also haven't ruled out a move for 38-year-old Jamie Vardy and Stephen Johnstone, Ardentinny, said: "Rangers are now touted as ex Leicester striker Jamie Vardy's new adventure. That's a non-starter Desperation is creeping into Ibrox and they can't attract a high caliber player like the Gascoigne era, more like ones that are looking at their last pay check.

Lennon Miller is one of the hottest prospects in Scottish football but Stephen Mulhern, Cork, said: "I read Gordon Dalziel say he feels a imminent move for Lennon Miller is in the pipeline however unless Celtic move out one of their key midfielders, I feel this is highly unlikely to happen.

"Celtic won’t pay top dollar for him to warm the bench and at this stage of Miller’s career, he himself wouldn’t accept that. Another word of caution though, I remember David Turnbull arriving with a similar reputation but he never fulfilled his potential so the warning signs are there if paying serious money for him."
