Turkey and Georgia fans clash in ugly scenes in Dortmund stadium ahead of Euro 2024 showdown

Georgia and Turkey have clashed in the stands before their Group F Euro 2024 showdown.

The two sides are set to kick-off their tournament art the Westfalenstadion torrential rain in Dortmund on Tuesday - which caused the stadium’s roof to leak waterfalls of rain on to fans below. However, tensions have escalated between the two sets of supporters with a video circulating on social media showing supporters brawling in one corner of the stadium.

The clips show punches being thrown and missiles launched before police intervened to quell the violent scenes before the 5pm kick off. The scene on social media was described as "absolute bedlam" amid concerns of the game going ahead at the home of Borussia Dortmund. Speculation has ramped up that the game could be called off with one fan stating: "Think that there has to be a greater than zero chance of this game being postponed if the deluge continues."
