Triple H: The Game resumes role as EVP of talent relations in WWE
Triple H has resumed his role as EVP of Talent Relations, effective immediately the WWE have announced today.
The 52-year-old suffered a cardiac event in September 2021, which was later revealed as viral pneumonia which caused fluid around his lungs and heart.
Those health issues saw The Game take a back seat from WWE, where he relinquished control of NXT and stepped down from his roles as EVP of Talent Relations and Executive Vice President of Global Talent Strategy and Development.
The multi-time world champion shied away from the spotlight following the health scare, until WrestleMania weekend in April, where he made his first public appearances, notably at the Hall of Fame ceremony.
He would later officially announce his retirement from in-ring competition that weekend, opening the second night of proceedings in Dallas and then leaving his boots in the ring, signally his final stand as a competitor in WWE.
Last month it was reported that Triple H was back at the Performance Center, where he revealed that he was ‘back’ but failed to elaborate on any details. However, today it was announced that the former King of Kings will resume his role as head of talent relations for WWE.
I look forward to returning to my prior position as head of Talent Relations. I’m healthy, fired up, and ready to take charge.
It remains to be seen The Game will resume with any of his other previous roles and if he’ll have any part in NXT, which has gone under a rebrand in his absence as NXT 2.0.
