Triple H: Roman Reigns' honest thoughts on WWE leadership changes

Roman Reigns has commented on Triple H’s recent appointment as head of creative in WWE and called him a ‘babyface for the industry.’

Following Vince McMahon’s shock retirement from WWE in July, Triple H was given the reigns and has since implemented a wrath of positive changes to WWE programming. 

Not only has both Raw and SmackDown been given renewed vigour, but he’s brought back several crowd-pleasing names that had previously been released by the company. So far, we’ve seen returns from Dakota Kai, Karrion Kross, Scarlett, Hit Row, Dexter Lumis and this past Monday night Johnny Gargano – with more set to follow. 

The change has gone down well with WWE fans, so much so that current Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns has been championing the job the 53-year-old has done since replacing his father-in-law. 

Speaking in an interview with Sports Illustrated Media podcast, Reigns says that there isn’t a bigger babyface in wrestling right now than the new man in charge of WWE. 

I think he’s done excellent. I think he’s like a professional wrestling babyface right now in the industry. He’s like a babyface for the industry right now and there’s like this honeymoon situation going. There’s a lot of excitement. But I mean, if you look at the grand scheme of it and just break it down of what he stepped into just dealing with this controversy. I mean, dealing with the craziness of the impossible happened. Vince McMahon stepped down, like just dealing, wrapping your brain around that and then being the guy to be next. I thought following Cena was tough enough. Imagine having to follow Vince McMahon. I think he’s done great. I really do.
