Gers boss Gio van Bronckhorst has confirmed that Aaron Ramsey, Filip Helander and Ryan Jack are all back and in contention to play.

This comes after they all missed out on the club’s last two outings in the league, which resulted in a 2-2 draw and a 1-0 win for the Light Blues. They are all now back from their respective injuries and could be in the running to start at Ibrox today.

Van Bronckhorst will surely be elated with this news, as all three players can provide a huge boost to the squad against Aberdeen this afternoon.

Firstly, Helander will provide valuable backup in the heart of the defence. John Lundstram was called upon at centre-back last week with Leon Balogun not fully fit and cost the Gers with poor positioning for Motherwell’s first goal in the 2-2 draw.

The ex-Sheffield United man did not look comfortable defending in that area of the pitch at left centre-back, and Helander’s availability means that there is less of a chance of the former being needed to fill in again. If Balogun or Goldson happen to pick up an injury, or get sent off, during the match today, then the Swedish defender can slot in effortlessly.

Jack’s return could offer a boost to the starting XI as he was in terrific form prior to his knock. He recorded a SofaScore rating of 6.9 or higher in four of his last five matches, with a 6.6 rating against Borussia Dortmund in the other game in that period.
