Tributes paid to 'beautiful' mum at centre of murder investigation

Tributes have been paid to a mum at the centre of a murder investigation as friends described her as a 'beautiful angel'.

Jess Edmunds, 32, has been named locally as the woman who was found dead at a house in Rotherham in South Yorkshire on Monday afternoon (August 28). The mum-of-two, who would "light up the room", was discovered by police following a call from paramedics.

A 47-year-old man and a 49-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of murder. They both remain in police custody, Yorkshire Live reports.

Jess's loved ones say her death has left them heartbroken. Her friend Jessica Taylor has set up a GoFundMe appeal in a bid to support Jess' young children.

She wrote: "Today I have found out that a young lady who I grew up with has been murdered she was only 32 years of age and two children have been left behind.

"I am just hoping that a little can be given to them to support them in life a little bit, no matter how big or small every little helps."

Angie Gale has also set up a Go Fund Me page in a bid to raise funds for her funeral. She wrote: "Let's give Jess the send off she deserves."

A Facebook group named 'In Loving Memory of Jess Edmunds' has been set up for people to pay tribute to the mum. Beth Butcher wrote: "When I went through a tough time when I was younger, you became my friend you were there for me. We had so many laughs and good times together."

She added: "Going to your aunty Donna's loads, sat on the field, playing music, staying over at mine loads when we grew up. I moved away but we still chatted now and again.

"We never lost sight of the friendship we had. I'll never ever forget you Jess, thankyou for
