Travel warning as Metrolink passengers hit by severe delays after power cut
Commuters are being warned to expect disruption on three Metrolink lines following a power cut. Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) says there are delays on the Bury, Didsbury and Manchester Airport lines this morning (February 6).
It follows a loss of power at the Queens Row Depot earlier today. Passengers were being warned of 'severe delays' on the Bury line as a result of the problem.
TfGM now says there are minor delays on all three lines. Passengers are being warned to expect disruption 'until further notice'.
Metrolink bosses have apologised to passengers for any convenience caused by the issue this morning. In an update on the TfGM website, a spokesperson said: "Due to a temporary loss of power at Queens Road Depot we currently have some minor delays on the Bury, Didsbury and Airport Lines.
"Customers may experience an additional wait for a service. We apologise for any inconvenience caused."
